A few months ago I was sent some products from the lovely people at Tropics Skincare and it was super kind of them. I am still finding my groove with this brand, but have been using them for a couple of weeks now and decided (while I had the luxury of borrowing a laptop), I'd run you through the products I love and ones I'm not mad about in from this range.
The company have some excellent values and have a pure ethos of both ingredients and the planet. They are fully Vegan and never test on animals. Their products are made and produced in the UK using only the best most natural ingredients. The price tag for this commitment to the planet and our skin is pretty good. Products prices range from the £42 to round about £16, there really is something for everyone.
They sent me their ABC in skin care and the package consisted of Soothing Cleanser, Vitamin Toner Pore Refining Mist, Skin revive Nourishing Cream and Brightening Polish. The packaging is very sleek and simple and most of the products I've used have a beautiful strong scent, however if you prefer no scent this is not the brand for you.
This product is super rich, it has a very thick consistency and when I first pumped it onto my hand I thought I was using the moisturiser. It did remove my make-up and can be used around the eyes. If I am honest I am not mad about this product as it does feel too rich for me. I use an oil to remove my make-up and a milk to nourish my skin, but even as a second cleanse it has felt a little heavy for my skin type. If you have really thirsty skin this may be the product for you, but for me, it has brought me out in some blemishes and I wouldn't purchase or use it again.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! It's scent is so fresh and it really does awaken my skin, I have been through two rounds of the Pixi Rose Tonic and whilst that is still a favourite of mine, this Vitamin Toner gives it a very close run for it's money. It's so refreshing and I spritz it whenever I get out of the shower and wear it under my make-up. It is really hydrating and the perfect drink for dull, lacklustre, thirsty skin. This would be a product I would purchase, I'm pretty sure it will stay in my beauty regime.
I was on the fence about this product until recently. I have started using this 3 times per week in the shower in the morning and it's really nice. I was a bit confused at first as it has beads in it and these are terrible for then environment, BUT they do completely disintegrate when mixed into the skin, so nothing to worry about there. I use my Pixi Glow tonic daily and will continue to use this. However, having started using this in the morning it really does wake up my skin and it's so refreshing. This is a product I may considered purchasing for my beauty regime.
This is a really lovely moisturiser, it is brilliantly priced, smells great, feels luxurious and is very hydrating. But, be warned it is very heavy and rich. If you're looking for something with good price tag that will nourish your skin then check this one out. I only use this in the evening and it is a little too rich for under make-up, but it is a product I would recommend looking at.
All of the Skin Tropics skincare that I have used are pretty rich, I have had had friends with more oily skin that haven't felt this has worked for them, and has in some cases caused breakouts. However, this is a lovely brand with a vast range of skincare, haircare, make-up and body products. If you are on the more oily end, I would recommend you approach with caution.
Big love and hope I get a laptop soon!
