Many of you have messaged me on Instagram, (if you don't already follow me, you can right here) asking me about my beauty regime and how I get my skin behaving from month to month. Well this is the blog post for you! I am going to take you through some of my faves, good make-up starts with good sink care and I follow this routine 90% of the time. First tip, taken from Caroline Hirons (if you don't know her, you can see her vlogs here) ALWAYS use a clean flannel everyday! This blog is for those with normal skin types, if you suffer with any skin sensitivity or irritation be sure to fully research products yourself before using.

Cleanse

I'm not sure if you know, but you should ALWAYS double cleanse, one to remove any make-up or dirt and the other to sooth and properly cleanse your skin. I use Bobbie Brown for both of these cleanses first up is soothing cleansing oil this gentle cleanser certainly packs a punch whilst leaving your skin soft and supple. The smell is DE-VINE and can be used on your eyes to remove even the toughest of eye make-up. Apply to a dry face and neck, massage in, add water and flannel off. When looking for your first cleanse be sure to pick an oil (an oil will still work if you have oily skin) or a balm and steer well clear of anything that foams. Next up is another Bobbi Brown beaut and that is soothing cleansing milk it is so gentle and what you ideally want from a second cleanse is some kind of milk product. You apply this to a damp face and neck, massage in and rinse or flannel off, I also use this as my morning cleanser.

This is a form of exfoliation and SO much better for your skin (and the environment) than beads, please please please, stop with the beads! They will destroy your skin... I have done A LOT of research into this, (so you don't have too) and honestly they are not your skins friend. Instead grab a acid based toner, this will remove the dead skin in a kinder way than beads. I am currently LOVING Glycolic Acid by The Ordinary, I'm really impressed with their products so far and this acid toner is a bargain at £6.90. I am going to do a whole blog post about The Ordinary, so if it is a company you are interested in then keep and eye out for it. Only Acid Tone in the evening and it's fine to do it everyday.

Serums

My skin is dry to normal, and I suffer with a pretty dry T-Zone, I need all the moisture I can get! I have recently introduce a couple of serums, both are from The Ordinary and both are EXCELLENT! First up is Hyaluronic Acid, I apply this morning and evening before my moisturiser, hyaluronic acid is a MUST if you suffer from dry skin. This little pot of magic essentially makes sure all the moisture you need sticks to your face like super glue. The second serum I have been using is the Alpha Lipoic Acid which I had never heard of until I spent hours on The Ordinary site. This stuff is potent and the smell isn't great, but it has been really helping my skin! You only use this in the evening and you only need two drops 2-3 times per week (I generally just use it twice per week). The difference it has made to my skin is very positive. If you have VERY sensitive skin this is NOT the serum for you. It does sting a bit when you apply it, but it feels nice once that subsides. Both of these serums are complete steal at £5.90 each.

Moisturiser

Okay so I am a skincare snob, but let me tell you, I am currently using Aldi moisturiser and it is working fine. I am not 100% sure I will re-purchase it once it has run out yet, but it is by no means terrible. I use the Caviar Illumination day and night creams, they smell really nice and feel good on the skin, I am so impressed with them for the price of £6.99 each. I am yet to fully decide whether or not they will be my go to moisturiser or just one I have in my gym bag. Will keep you posted.

So thats it, if you have any questions please, get in touch, oh and if you haven't already, be sure to subscribe!
